On the 7th day, Jerry gets the Internet back!

Sorry for not being able to update the web site much in recent weeks, but my move from Minnesota to GenCon to Georgia left me with only AT&T's 3G network (and the horrible Edge network) for my net fix. As of today that is now solved! Thanks Northland Cable...

As most of you probably already know, Update 6 has been officially released to the live servers this week. Tuesday, August 17th for us VIP players, Thursday August 19th for F2P and Premium players at a cost of 450 Turbine Points. The Red Fens includes several new quests in addition to an expansive outdoor wilderness area and the debut of underwater combat. The 450 TP cost makes it an easy recommendation for all DDO players.

I've put together my preview video of Update 6 - it's relatively spoiler-free and aims to be an introduction to the area for people looking to check it out before they quest or buy:

DDO Turbine Point cards now available at GameStops!

After hearing about this from Twitter I headed over to my local GameStop today to see if it was true and it was: DDO Turbine Point cards are now available at GameStops across their massive chain. This is particularly great news for people who need the flexibility of paying cash and the like, including people without credit cards or bank accounts in addition to several other factors.

They come in two flavors, a $10 card for 750 Turbine Points and a $25 card for 2000 TP. The prices are relatively comparable to the "regular" price of TP in-game, although people particularly looking for "the best deal" will want to take advantage of Turbine's numerous sales and such. However, this will be a great way for many to play DDO and has been a frequently-requested thing from players. Nice!
