DDORadi-over and an interesting job. Let's play in the snow!

Hi everyone!  Quick update for ya tonight.

DDORadio Says Goodbye:

First up, I'm sorry to say that DDORadio appears to be dead.  Here's the message from Big on the www.ddoradio.com web site:

Due to lack of interest in DDORADIO the decision has been made to stop the stream. It seems that a service such as DDORADIO is perhaps not needed at this point in time. I would like to personally like to thank the few listeners we had for their support. Dungeons and Dragons ONLINE is a fantastic game filled with fantastic people. Long live DDO and its great community of players!

Sad to hear that, Big.  It was cool while it lasted!  It's hard to get enough interest for stuff sometimes.  I think DDO's current voice chat system also keeps some people from being able to easily stream music in the background.  I know that I can't seem to be able to do it without the music being too loud.  Anyway, thanks for a good run!

Hmm, interesting.  Now, I honestly wonder whether it's really possible to bring in a user generated content system for DDO.  The quests aren't "cookie cutter" and aren't made using a Half-Life Mod-style system or anything.  Takes a bunch of people to make a quest!  But who knows?  I'd love to see it in DDO for sure.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

And you thought we lived in Tropicana.  Here's the interesting post from Community Rep Tolero today, posted in my own thread about DDOcast Episode 77:

Like that there'd be snow in 7.1? That's right... I said it... snow is coming to Xen'drik! SNOW!

>>

*ducks back into the shadows*

Post Script: and no I don't mean 7.1 is in christmas...that would rather defeat the purpose of calling it a "summer" update ^^

Snow in 7.1?  Sounds good to me!
