They're Baaack! And some cool news and events.

Hi everyone!

The old archives are back!  Yup.  All of the episodes that I had to take down to make room for the new stuff is back up on DDOcast.com, iTunes and elsewhere.

How did they return?  Well, that's thanks to Cyberears for stepping up and letting me know to post them back up.  I like them, they seem to like me, it's all one big happy family!  So, yeah, thanks to Cyberears for helping me keep all the DDOcast episodes up and running.

I'm happy to no longer have to take down the old stuff to make way for the new stuff.  Hope you are happy about it too.

EXTRA:  Thanks so much Scott for letting me know that my episodes were lacking some ID3 tagging.  I've added the DDOcast logo, Artist, Album info, etc to Episodes 1-10 and will be adding the info to all new episodes going forward.  Should make the episodes easier to find and better looking on your iPods, Zunes, Zens and what-have-you's.

TURBINE TOWN HALL MEETING!

Yup.  Interesting post from Community Relations Manager Quarion yesterday.  Here's the info:

"The Lords of Stormreach hereby invite all citizens of our fair city to attend a special Town Hall Meeting to discuss issues of utmost importance!

We will be opening the floor to those who have something to say, or questions to ask, and Quarion will be on hand to record your feedback and address concerns or comments.

When: Wednesday, October 17th, 2007 - 8pm Eastern
Where: The Risia Server - in the Harbor Master's Plaza (Click here for instructions on downloading and installing the Risia client. Each active subscriber of the game should have a character already available on Risia.)

More Detail:

All interested parties should gather outside the Harbor Master's Quarters, in the nearby plaza at around 8pm Eastern.

This event is designed to let you voice your thoughts on DDO, and provide candid, and feedback about the game, in the game. Please be sure to keep all buffs and other spells to yourself, to allow the event to be enjoyed by all. We're here to listen and communicate with you, however should the crowd become unruly or unmanageable, the event will end. Also remember, that all standard rules and code of conduct terms still apply."

Pretty cool, huh?  I'm going to check this out if I can...

So, there were two events that I wanted to pass along to you that were posted (or updated in one case) after I got this week's show recorded.  Since they are both happening this week, I wanted to make sure that you got the chance to hear about them.

IN-GAME WEDDING ON GHALLANDA!

Yup.  The knot will be tied.  Rfchini posts on DDO.com:

"We have a location and time for this event:
Saturday October 20th at 6 PM Pacific/9 PM Eastern in House Jorasco at the bridge overlooking the pond."

MUSIC MAN CONCERT ON THELANIS!

Cool.  Here's Music Man's post on DDO.com:

Ahoy Thelashkriats,

'Tis with great mirth that I bring you "The Disco After the Breakdown: Musicman live in concert!!" If you're a fan of music, or someone seeking a break from the Sisyphusian grind of being Stormreach's hero, there are few better places to unwind than at a Musicman Concert! Come join the citizens of Thelanis as we boogie down!

Also bards looking to compete in the next Battle of the Bards gain an excellent opportunity to observe how to rock the contest out while picking up some pointers and inspiration!

The next Musicman Concert will be held on: Friday October 19th @ 8pm EST in House Phiarlan on the stage across from Vestrii's Arms (Enter from Market take the left stone pathway, and the stage will be on the right before the hill).

Come prepared to dance & enjoy the mirth...

_____----===+===----_____

What Exactly is a Musicman Concert, you ask?
Well, the answer is quite simple. Musicman prepares a variety of songs ranging from originals to parodies and including songs covered from the vast spectrum of musical cultur, which are then shared with the audience via general chat. Of course, in order to properly credit the artist, band names and song titles will be provided during the concert for all cover songs performed.

Musicman also seeks crowd participation, whether it's a Mosh Pit while performing at The Pheonix Tavern, A Conga line around House Phiarlan, Dance Circles you never know what will come next be it games or trivia or raffles... you'll just have to show up to find out.

As always, Musicman will be taking requests before the concert. If you would like to request a song, please send Musicman a PM with the artist name and song title.

So, that's about it for now!  It's been a good week for me in DDO.  Besides finally getting "flagged" for the Bloody Crypt (Litany of the Dead Part 2), I also achieved 150 House J and Silver Flame favor and hit level 13 on my cleric!  Now that's progress!
