Head Count!!

So as Jerry mentioned, I was out in Indy today scoping out prime locations for my 2nd Annual DDO Get Together @ Gencon Indy

What I would like to see in the comments here for any of the listeners who are going to Gencon is:
Show of hands, who all plans on trying to make it

The day will be Saturday of Gencon, Aug 18th
The time is TBA, but I'm looking at a range of dinnerish time to post-dinner time (after all, Ill be in TrueDungeon, gotta give me time to go change out of my gear ><
The location is also TBA, but WILL be downtown, and within walking distance of the convention. For those of you NOT going to Gencon, but in the region of Indianapolis, you will NOT have to have a Gencon badge to get into this. I wanted to make sure that non-con goers could attend as well.

Also know that I am trying to design this to allow you to bring your families, as I know many of you will have them with you. So this will not be at the Claddaugh because due to Indiana State Law, persons under 21 years of age can't set foot in the place apparently. So it's NO GO for the Claddaugh because of this. I don't want anyone to get left out because they feel like they have to ditch their underage family member/friend to attend this.

As per my previous get togethers, this will be a casual come and go as you please event. I will have a start time, and just feel free to drop in. I will have some small prizes, a few in-person silly games, and tiny gifts for those who attend this.

So again, need to see a show of hands, who all is gonna try and make it

Merlask - I'll definately be at Gencon this year. (Been to every Indy Gencon so far.) I'll be working a friend's both, but even slaves get a bit of free time at Gencon. Hurm. Wonder if Atari/Turbine will have a DDO Chat this year like last.

    Possible suggestion for Location:
Check with the Ram as it's local to the convention center, and you'd be able to have any age in. The Ram has been VERY pro-gamer since Gencon came to Indy and the Manager is a gamer. I can't make promises but you might be able to talk to the guy and reserve the 'back room' for the Pow-wow on Saturday night. Of course, I could always be wrong.

Actually I did talk to the Ram and they absolutely refuse to reserve anything for the weekend of gencon. Their pro-gamer atmosphere also unfortunately means that they're slammed hardcore with people, and I imagine the back room gets booked by some of the larger companies for this reason as well. Don't worry I have a few reservations at a couple places already, still ironing out the details though.

Wow, right on. That's what I get for relying on my husband and looking over at him going 'hey what weekend is gencon again?' and actually trusting what he said off the top of his head -_- Good call thank you *fusses with stuff now*
