Welcome to the new DDOcast.com!!!

Welcome to the new DDOcast.com!  I am really happy to be able to introduce the new web site to everyone....

....so, for the new visitors to DDOcast, I thought I'd talk a bit about what this show is about.  DDOcast is a weekly audio podcast about the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online - Stormreach, the MMORPG created by Turbine, Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro and Atari.  This podcast is created by fans for fans of the massively multiplayer online game.  The podcast is not created by members of Turbine or any of the developers of the game.  This is a labor of love created by people who enjoy playing the game.

My name is Jerry Snook.  I've been playing DDO since June of 2006.  I created DDOcast after taking a look at the Internet and realizing that there was no podcast that focused on the game.  I figured basically "why not me?"

Since I started the podcast, the show has brought in quite a few other people who also enjoy the game and like talking about it on the podcast.  We've got segments from all sorts of folk - Merlask (who also creates numerous cool in-game events and videos that are posted on YouTube), Rowanheal, Xiloscient, Rheebus, Doctor Boutrous, Blackskull, Marek and more!  The DDOcast crew talks about everything - from role playing in the game, playing the game from a "girl gamer" perspective, tips, tricks, good advice, funny stuff, serious stuff - it's all here!

HOW TO USE THIS SITE:

All of the DDOcast episodes are available here!  You will find the Episode List on the right side of the screen.  Simply left-click on an episode to open it up in whatever player you have set to play audio (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, etc.).  Right-click the mouse and hit "save as" to download the file as an mp3.  It's that easy!

If you would like to send me an email directly, click on the link to the right - you will be redirected to the Cyberears home page for DDO, at which point you just fill in the fields and hit send.

If you want to sign up as a fan of DDOcast you will be notified through email whenever a new episode is posted.  Follow the link on the right of this page.  I do not spam!

You can also syndicate this blog using the links to the right, search the site, look at archived blog posts and other stuff.

And don't forget - you can comment on any of these blog posts!  Can't wait to hear from you!

OTHER STUFF:

This site is just getting started as of June 4th, 2007.  You can expect much, much more to be added in the coming weeks, so stay tuned as I build this site up to something really cool!

JUST WANT TO THANK:

I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who has helped out with the show - particularly Blackskull, who helped me get started, Standpoint for his continued support, Turbine for being cool with me doing this, Merlask, Rowanheal, Xiloscient, Rheebus, Marek and everyone else who has sent in kind words and suggestions!  Thank you! Thank You!  THANK YOU!

ALSO:

Just a note that all of the DDOcast files are hosted by Cyberears.  Cyberears is a very inexpensive and easy-to-use podcast and audio storage site.  You can check it out at
www.cyberears.com.

OTHER PLACES TO GET DDOCAST:

There are many other ways to get DDOcast besides this site.  Probably the biggest is iTunes, which is the most popular way to get the show outside of this site.  Simply look for it on the iTunes music store to subscribe to the podcast.  However, DDOcast is also available on many other podcast aggregators - look for it on Digg, Podcast Alley, Yahoo! Podcasts, Podcast Pickle, Podcast Fix, PodShow and probably a dozen other sites.  Look for it wherever you get your podcasts!!!

TALK TO ME:

I welcome any and all comments, suggestions, interview requests, segment submissions and everything else.  Contact DDOcast at ddocast@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to talking to you!

Sincerely,

Jerry Snook
host, DDOcast
